An evening of vintage gambling.

Brought to you by the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles.

The ADSLA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that focuses on the celebration and preservation of the architecture, art, music, dance, clothing and elegance of Art Deco.

The Avalon Ball in Catalina and the Queen Mary are two of the societies largest  fundraising events. All proceeds go towards saving numerous deco buildings and host educational lectures and tours in and around LA.

Casino Moderne is the lastest  fundraising event held at the Historical Los Angeles Athletic Club. Yet, another night of stepping back in time. Admission is good for entry, hors d'oeuvres, gambling chips, and if interested, a discounted room in the newly renovated rooms of the hotel.

A portion of your ticket price is tax deductable. Click here for ticket info.

What a big Pin Up weekend. Sturday 1/23/10 turning little lovlies into Pin Ups. This was a first time event of its kind for playclothes and it good bookesd up quick! They girls got to do photoshoot to keep for themselves or as a Valentine surprise for that special someone. The whole store was 15% off for the day. It was any girls dream. Doing a photoshoot in a GIANT vintage closet. Every prop imaginable was at their fingertips.  Make up was done by Besame Cosmetics, Hair by me Sandra D, and Photography by Julia. Photos to come soon!

On Sunday 1/24/10...more Pin Up. A day spent at the Historic Warner Grad Theatre in San Pedro. What a grand theatre it is! If you did not make it, you missed a good one. This was a 100 minute fashion show modeling original garments worn by great hollywood actresses like Bettie Davis and Norma Sheaer just to name a couple. Each model had such elegance and charisma gliding across the stage channeling old hollywood. The photo below is a quick shot just before curtain call of me and one of the models Tiba.
