I had never had any formal instruction on period hair before, so I was very eager to learn. Sandra let everyone know exactly what tools to bring. She did a great job explaining the steps to everyone and by the end of the class, I had great looking 40's hair. Afterwards, I practiced a lot at home. "I had the pleasure of attending a 1930s Pin Curl class with Sandra D at Revamp Vintage. Sandra was very sweet and I knew I was in for a treat from how beautiful she had set her own hair. Over the course of the class she taught us how to do pin curls and rag curls. We all came out of their looking better than Lombard! After such a great experience, I asked her to do my hair for my wedding. Sandra did an stunning job setting my hair and it matched my 1920s Tea Dress perfectly.
I loved having beautiful hair my wedding day and not having to have it sprayed down with hair spray into a helmet! haha After learning the pin curl method, I use it on my own hair a couple of times of week since I have parts of my hair that are very curly and parts that are straight. This helps to even out of my hair to be more wavy over all. I would be very interested in talking 20s-50s with Sandra and even would be interested in a class that focuses on getting the right hair to match you vintage outfit. Or a class with various quick tricks for a fast vintage look.
So I would definitely say my overall experience has really effected how I do my hair on a day to day basis. If you are looking for inspiration or just a really amazing vintage hair-do, Sandra D is definitely your girl Friday! :)""
